The Work Environment
The most effective way of beating job stress is to address the work environment, before working on the individual. At the most direct level, it involves sensible work routines, well-defined production schedules, or organizational structures. At a more subtle level, it means opening "new" channels of communication that help the employer and employee understand each other better.
Happy people make happy contributions
At TWWI, we constantly encourage our team to relax and unwind. Intervention strategies that beat stress, are chalked out by a deputy manager for every month of the calendar year, and involve all the employees.
Theme games, birthday parties and inter-departmental competitions mark every month, generating prizes, cakes, festoons and lots of noise! Creative juices flow into the company's in-house magazine, the intranet and edutainment mailers. Each of these affords an opportunity to "speak up and be heard". In-house clubs also encourage sports, outbound activities, learning the salsa or even the cha cha. In fact, every TWWI-an is goaded to "Have Fun, Have a Life!"
"Have fun, Have a life!"
Activities are planned every month to break humdrum work routines and enable employees to cut across departments and hierarchies in an effort to bond well. With rejuvenated spirits and fantastic team bonding, Fun At Work is mandatory diet at TWWI!
In-house clubs include Cavort, Escapade, Gala, Scribblz and Speak that tap into sports, travel and adventure, mega entertainment, writing, public speaking and debating.
